{"id":3569,"date":"2022-04-14T09:01:17","date_gmt":"2022-04-14T09:01:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.smaf-ltd.com\/wordpress\/?p=3569"},"modified":"2024-12-21T21:18:50","modified_gmt":"2024-12-21T21:18:50","slug":"musulupa-the-typical-cheese-of-the-greek-area-of-reggio-calabria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.smaf-ltd.com\/wordpress\/musulupa-the-typical-cheese-of-the-greek-area-of-reggio-calabria\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Musulupa&#8221;: the typical cheese of the Greek area of Reggio Calabria"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>14.04.2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Musulupa <\/em>is a&nbsp;typical&nbsp;cheese (fresh and unsalted) produced in the Greek area in the province of Reggio Calabria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Modeled in traditional molds of carved mulberry wood (the&nbsp;<em>Musulupare<\/em>), with an anthropomorphic or disc shape and ritually consumed especially during the Easter period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A NECESSARY PREMISE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Bova (<em>Ch\u00f2ra tu V\u00f9a<\/em>&nbsp;is its name in the Grecanic language) is the cultural capital of&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bovesia\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a>Boves\u00eca&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bovesia\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a>(the Greek area&nbsp;in the province of Reggio Calabria).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is one of the southernmost cities of the Italian peninsula in&nbsp;Aspromonte National Park&nbsp;and included, among other things, in the circuit of the most beautiful villages in Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, the Boves\u00eca (also known as the Calabrian Greek-speaking area) still retains an immense historical-cultural heritage.
